About Serenoa Supply Company
A Legacy Rooted in the Swamps of the South
The roots of our business go all the way back to 1960, when Jason Overstreet’s grandparents, Hoyt and Ida McDaniel, began collecting saw palmetto berries—known to locals as “hog berries.” With nothing more than an abandoned airport runway to dry the berries and a small fan for cleaning, Hoyt, Ida, and her two sisters did everything by hand. It was humble, honest work, and it laid the foundation for what would become a generational passion.
In 1978, after finishing school at the University of Georgia, Jason’s uncle, Walter McDaniel, stepped in to help grow the business. He started supplying high-quality berries to the European market and continued building strong relationships in the industry for decades.
By the late 1990s, the business evolved into partnerships with large extractors and global brokers. Even as technology and the industry changed, one thing never did—their commitment to quality and integrity.
Today, Jason Overstreet carries on that legacy through Serenoa Supply Company, working as a trusted supplier. His company continues to provide pure, traceable, and responsibly harvested saw palmetto berries to both domestic and international partners.
We’re proud to remain a small, family-run business—not a massive corporation cutting corners. For us, this isn’t just about supplements. It’s about continuing a tradition that started over 60 years ago, and doing it right.
Purity You Can Trace. Quality You Can Trust.
We’re not just another supplement company. At Serenoa Supply Company, we believe in keeping things pure and simple. Unlike overseas processors who ship berries to other countries and return a diluted product to the U.S. market, we do everything here—from harvesting to packaging—right here in the USA.
- Our products are never cut with fillers or additives
- We offer true traceability—know where your supplement came from
- Our production process is clean and transparent
